"The Perfect Gathering Spot."

Farm-to-table isn't just a trendy idea at 12 Oaks. It's a full-blown working garden and community gathering place.

Community Garden

"Our garden is as much about putting your melons where your mouth is as it is about genuine sustainability and Southern traditions," 12 Oaks Resident Gardener

Overlooking the 3rd and 6th hole is the 12 Oaks community garden — one of the most popular gathering spots on the 12 Oaks property. Tilling the soil, caring for the land, and farm-fresh cooking are deeply rooted in Southern traditions.

Throughout the year you will find a mixture of greens, aromatic basil, or an avalanche of heirloom tomatoes. On any given day, you may see the chef from The Club gathering some arugula for the nightly menu or there might be young kids learning tricks of the trade from our Garden Director.

The garden is an example of the wholesome, organic values at 12 Oaks. Supervised by our resident board, the community makes a big commitment to the garden, offering community plots that service both The Club and residents. The Club is committed to using as much produce as the garden can generate. A gardener keeps a watchful eye over both resident and community beds, so you don't have to worry about your crops when you're away.
